Winelovers, because they have been working for more than 10 years in restaurants around Greece & they have been seeking desperately for decades to find the best wine in the world, but as they say, let’s wait for the next one.
Travel lovers, because they are thirsty for knowledge in history and the diversity of & cultures.
History lovers, because they live in one of the most ancient countries in the world, where democracy and philosophy were born.

Vassilis Katsiklis is the founder of Discover Athens Tours.
Born and raised in Volos, Thessaly, he moved to Athens 11 years ago.
For as long as anyone can remember, he has been working in the Food Industry where he evolved his knowledge in Customer Service and eventually became a Restaurant Manager in some of the best restaurants in Greece awarded with a Michelin Star.
He is an expert in Food & Wine Pairing as he graduated from WSET School of Wine based in London, specializing in Greek indigenous varieties.
Vassilis loves history and Mythology so he quickly realized that he wants to combine everything he loves and share it through Discover Athens Tours FOOD-WINE-HISTORY-TRAVEL!
He enjoys walking in the center of Athens, discovering new places and in his free time, he likes to play sports.
